Interior designer

Experience: 1 - 3 Years.
Computer Skills: AutoCAD – Rivet - MS Office – 3d max – corona .

Education: Bachelor of Engineering, Department of Arts or Architecture.

Job purpose

We are looking for an artful interior designer to undertake a, oversees the design and decorative process for both working and living areas from start to finish. Their main duties include sketching various design plans, determining costs for different projects and sourcing materials and products for the designs.

Duties and responsibilities

-Visiting job sites to analyze space availability, design needs and the purpose of the space.
2- Attending client meetings to understand the design needs and client preferences regarding interior styles and colors.
3- Getting approval from the client before creating CAD designs and detailed briefs for workers and supervisors
4- Assists in compiling data for interior plans, specifications, reports, etc.
5- Assists in the preparation for plans for existing buildings where plans are not available.
6- Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability.
7- Performs original design work utilizing specifications, sketches and ideas on developing designs.
8- Assists in preparation of scale drawing of details required for contract drawing.
9- Assists in developing and/or coordinating development of detailed working drawings and specifications after approval for project has been obtained.
10- Ensuring project completion within the allocated budget and timeline

Abilities:

Artistic ability:
Interior designers need to be proven experience with technical drawings and details & Knowledge of design standards, and Strong creativity, artistic ability and imagination, and Strong technical knowledge of structure & electro-mechanical design concepts and strong coordination skills.

Creativity:
Interior designers need to be a good eye for details and Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Personal Skills:
Detail oriented - High team work skills - Ability to work & perform under pressure - Effectively communicate with other team members.

Working conditions
Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, and so forth.
