Senior Software Development Engineer
DESCRIPTION
The Senior Software Development Engineer is a full-time staff member capable of assuming the lead role within a software development team of 5 – 10 staff. This role normally reports to a software development manager or other executive staff.
This person filling this position will need the following skills to be successful:
Business and Organizational Skills
– Ability to lead a group of five to ten software developers consisting of front-end and back-end development skillsets
– Ability to work remotely from home with a team based in various parts of the world
– Ability to mentor software developers when needed especially with Scrum processes such as Sprints, Backlog management, and prioritization of work
– Experience in Scrum or Agile software development
– Experience in software project management platforms such as Jira
– Excellent written and verbal communication
Technical Skills
– Multiple years of experience developing with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL.

– You need to have Advanced knowledge of either back-end or front-end technology sets. Advanced knowledge in both areas would be preferred but not required.

§ Python as related to AWS Lambda and Amazon Serverless integrations
§ Amazon DynamoDB
§ Amazon API Gateway
§ Amazon S3
§ Amazon Athena
§ Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL)
§ Amazon CloudFront (CDN)
o Front-end Technology Sets
§ Angular Development
§ JavaScript
§ Extensive use of APIs within front-end development
§ Understanding of how a CDN improve Angular websites

-Experience in traditional .NET development would also be beneficial but not specifically required for this role.
