We are looking for you to become our Accounting Specialist on our Order-to-Cash team in Cairo Egypt.

As the Accounting Specialist you will process accounts receivables and accurately apply daily receipts to customer invoices and/or corporate ledgers/accounts. The Accounting Specialist must be proactive team-oriented possess good interpersonal communication skills and should have a deep commitment and willingness to achieve success both on a personal and a company-wide level.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Utilize bank portals/reports to obtain all daily cash receipts

Accurately apply daily receipts to customer invoices and/or corporate ledgers/accounts

Reconcile any discrepant receipts/charges and create necessary GL entries to ensure all cash is accounted

Accurately apply all AR adjustments from collection team

Post and reconcile all NSF checks or other miscellaneous bank debits or credits back to customer accounts/company ledgers and notify appropriate parties

Verify that cash and AR balances to daily activity

Co-ordinate with other company branches for Manual Bank Statements and other details.

Support the team at month end for bank reconciliations.

Requirements

Interpersonal skills and communication skills

Thoroughness and organization in analyzing Information

Basic accounting proficiency

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

Expert level in English and Arabic language

What Will Put You Ahead

Business degree preferred from an accredited institution or a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience

Cash application experience

Familiarity with SUN6 general ledger system

You are a team-oriented person who has strong interpersonal skills
