We are Hiring:
Procurement Section Head
The Procurement Section Head is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities of the organization. This role entails developing procurement strategies, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier management, and adherence to quality and compliance standards. The Procurement Section Head works closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to meet the organization's procurement goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Strategy Development
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
Monitor market trends and analyse data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Establish procurement policies, guidelines, and best practices.
2. Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure favourable outcomes for the organization.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements and quality standards.
3. Procurement Operations
Oversee the day-to-day procurement operations, including purchasing, sourcing, and inventory management.
Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Conduct competitive bidding processes (e.g., RFQs, RFPs) to source high-quality goods and services.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control
Prepare and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to allocated resources.
Analyze expenditures and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Approve purchase orders and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
5. Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement transactions.
6.Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, production) to understand procurement needs.
Serve as the point of contact for procurement-related queries and issues.
Ensure transparent and effective communication with stakeholders.
7. Reporting and Analysis
Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, key metrics, and performance.
Analyse procurement data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.
Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contracting, and cost analysis.
