Job Opportunity: General Ledger (GL) Senior Accountant – Remote from Egypt Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries accurately and promptly. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function. Maintain organized and compliant financial records. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA or equivalent certification is a plus. Strong understanding of VAT principles. Fluent in English. Hands-on experience with an Odoo system. Autonomy, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset. Previous experience in the retail industry is essential. Excel and PowerPoint expertise. Minimum of 7 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
