Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer (Design Background)

Job Description

• Review and monitor work of Discipline Design Engineers and Design Consultants to ensure design correctness and completeness as well as scope compliance.
• Actively participate in Design/Supervision Consultant(s) selection and contracting.
• Maintain record of Design Consultant(s) submittals and control in a timely manner the submittals/correspondence received.
• Evaluate and endorse the variation orders/concession requests submitted by the design team for client's approval.
• Review and comment on all drawings and documents submitted by design team and ensure the incorporation of all revisions on all documents.
• Review and report to direct manager all monthly reports submitted by design team including areas of concern and recommended plans of actions.
• Review consultant / contractor work progress for contract payments.
• Review the compatibility of tender documents (drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities).
• Provide technical & administrative information to the others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction.
• Coordinate with other technical office engineers to produce shop drawings with focus on aesthetics and cost control.
Job Requirements

• BSc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience 7-12 years.
• Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role
• To have experience in Real Estate Developers and construction companies.
• To have experience in both residential & commercial projects.
• Diploma in project management is preferred.
• Job Location: New Cairo
