 NMDC- Egypt Branch is hiring the below position: -

Chief Engineer (Support Crafts):
_Job Description;
 Ensure optimal and safe performance of vessel by operating and maintaining the on‐board machinery in the most effective.
and efficient way.
 Ensure the implementation of the maintenance schedule and spare parts requirements in accordance with plan and
technical specifications for vessel.
 Work and act according to policies and procedures of Technica department.
 Provide accurate reports to the technical superintendent on work done/ performance, and preventive maintenance requirements.
 Ensure implement instant repairs on board.
 Report to superintendents as needed performance of technical parts of the engine room; escalate if needed to superintendents in order to minimize downtime.
 Confirm with Vessel master on the most suitable way the readiness of vessel.
 Actively monitor if the HSE requirements are observed in the engine room and report on it to the superintendent.
Follow-up on QHSE reports/ recommendations if needed and applied on vessel.
 Work closely with technical superintendent to ensuring the quality of the dry-docking activities.
 Report to Technical superintendents on any failure or maintenance requirements which may affect the performance of the
Vessel.
 Record, evaluate and document technical parameters of the engines/ engine log book.
 Responsible for timely ordering technical aspects and spare parts.
 Provide leadership and guidance towards technical staff on vessel.
 Efficiently and constructively cooperate with technical staff, and operational crew Provide the superintendent with input
on development needs and performance.
 Identify hazards
 Obtain information from HSE Department
 Make recommendations to HSE Department
 Investigate Incidents
Function Specific Experience;
_ 3 Years as Chief Engineer on similar vessels
Industry related experience;
_ Marine.
_ Dredging experience will be beneficial.
Years of experience;
_ Minimum 8 years onboard experience out of which at
least 3 years as Chief Engineer.
_Preferable working in offshore vessels/ oil and gas field
