Job Description

 Saudi Firmness is looking for a Mechanical Procurement Engineer:
 Location: Cairo-Egypt
➢Job Summary:-
The Mechanical Procurement / Tendering Engineer will be responsible for sharing the RFQ with all mechanical and electrical vendors to get material and service quotations, follow up with them, revise the quotations, and negotiate with the vendors or third party for discounts to submit the tender job successfully and hopefully award the project. Also, he will be responsible for updating the vendor list and company quotation history along with evaluating the vendors and third-party providers.

➢Main Responsibilities:
1. Receive the RFQ from the tendering team.
2. Understand the project scope and split the RFQ into packages if needed to be sent to the suppliers.
3. Search, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
4. Send the RFQ to the suppliers/ subcontractors to obtain technical and financial offers.
5. Follow up with suppliers to ensure the pricing of the items on time.
6. Assist in the preparation of financial and technical comparison sheets to analyze the variance of commercial and technical offers.
7. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to minimize the prices coordinate the payment terms and then select the most appropriate one.
8. Update the quotation tracking sheet log based on each project’s status.
9. Update the company vendor list to maintain communication with suppliers or clients.
10. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
11. Assist in conducting quantity surveys for lump sum items and projects to determine the accurate quantity.
12. Keep procurement activities compliant with internal policies and external regulations.

 
➢Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
2. Fluent in both English speaking and writing.
3. Proven work experience as a Procurement Engineer or similar role
4. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and negotiation techniques.
5. Excellent knowledge of delivery methods, calculations, and incoterms.
6. Ability to prepare and communicate professionally with suppliers through emails, meetings, and calls.
7. Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
8. Years of experience, Minimum: 1 - Maximum: 4
9. Past experience in Saudi Arabia or Gulf projects is an advantage.
