Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers capable of meeting our quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, contracts, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, product quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Generate and manage purchase orders based on engineering specifications, project requirements, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and ensure timely processing of purchase orders.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory and stockouts.
- Mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities and develop contingency plans.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, finance, and logistics.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or similar role in the electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, equipment, and supplies.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in analyzing technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (SAP) specifically.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the electrical industry.
