Purchasing Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory Role: 
Lead and manage the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to procurement procedures.

Vendor Relations: 
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to ensure favorable terms for the organization.

Purchase Order Management: 
Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Inventory Control: 
Monitor inventory levels, track usage patterns, and collaborate with relevant departments to manage stock levels efficiently.

Quality Control: 
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure purchased items meet quality standards and specifications.

Cost Analysis: 
Analyze purchasing data, trends, and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities and support decision-making processes.

Compliance & Documentation: 
Ensure procurement activities comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years' experience in procurement, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Professional certifications in procurement and supply chain management are a must.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing techniques, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, conduct market research, and make strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
