Commission Accountant - Vodafone

Job Description:

This position is responsible for executing and handling commission payment related activities for Vodafone Partners & Employees.  The Commission Accountant will provide daily operational support for ensuring the commission Schemes are accurately implemented and any approved changes have been applied for payment accuracy. This includes partnering closely with other departments in support of the monthly commission pay process for all the partners and vendors, monthly payroll submissions, reconciling and analyzing commissions and management of commission output and the monthly trends.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Managing and complying VF group KPI’s requirements and apply commission policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible of documenting commission process and procedures
  • Supporting the company in the Commission Payment Process and executing all commissions related payments.
  • Having good relations with our stakeholders and having a teamwork spirit across all concerned departments to assure accurate and on time payments.
  • Ensuring the governance within the department for the Commission approved policy and aligning all stakeholders with any updates.
  • Exercising integrity and accuracy within the Commission calculations sticking to the policy to make sure of the effectiveness and efficiency of our output,

 

 

 

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Ensuring the accurate implementation of all approved Commission Schemes in accordance with the Commission Policy in all the Commission models.
Working on developing the Commission accuracy KPI and the accuracy of all commission pays.
Monthly Commission Calculations for Retail and Consumer including Vodafone Partners, Staff and Dealers.
Performing monthly analysis and reconciliations for the Commissions’ output and reporting it to the concerned stakeholders.
Daily work that includes calculations to validate commission models results, payee reconciliation, and performing other control related tasks
Reconciliations that include Commission Extract processing, Commission Detail Repots and Payroll Checklists.
Communicating with all stakeholders to confirm any changes that will occur have been in alignment with all affected teams and went through the confirmed approval cycle.
Reporting also includes research and analysis of discrepancies, including monthly deficits, to support business related inquiries and raise any concerns.
Collaborate with different teams across the Company to collect, analyze and calculate Commission payments. 
Validation of all concerned Commission reports with the concerned teams and confirming the criteria for any new to market product or any Commission full change.
Communicating all the Commission percentage payout to payroll teams monthly and ongoing validation for any Commission payments that are paid to any party.
Communicating with different consumer team/management, internal and external audit


 

 

 


Skills and Qualifications:
    Finance or Accounting background is a must.
    Experience of 3 years or above in same field.
    Proficient use of Microsoft Office and mainly Excel.
    Having the full awareness of the confidentiality of the role and the profile handled and working with complete discretion.
    Effective Communication skills and the ability to work closely with many different stakeholders and having professional communication skills in dealing with all levels of staff.
    High adherence to Company’s rules and policies and applying them in daily job and sticking to the defined procedures.
    Attention to details, self-discrete, good analytics skills and having excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
    Ability to handle critical situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Accounting Certificates.
•    Experience in the same field as in Commission background.
•    Experience with Commission Schemes and models.
•    Excellent analytical and reporting skills. 
•    Excellent computer & Microsoft office skills (advanced excel skills is required)
