Head of Department for our Structural Engineering group
to join our Cairo office. This senior management position
with +30 years of experience shall provide oversight and direction for our Structural Discipline within our multi-disciplinary practice. This Position encompasses the establishment and implementation of goals and objectives, the development and promotion for growth. The candidate shall have a strong education history resulting with a PHD in Structural Engineering from reputable University. They shall be responsible for managing the structural design operations of the department and contributing to the effective and profitable development, performance, and growth for the Company.
Job Description: · Overseeing and managing the design activities of the structure discipline. · Provide technical oversight to the structural staff. · Ability to make confident design decisions and recommendations. · Support in assessments and evaluations of existing structures. · Provide leadership for the exchange of knowledge relating to best, current international practice. · Conduct progressive staff performance and development evaluations. · Managing simple and complex analysis. · Ensure quality of work, provide constant system value engineering, and maintain client satisfaction. · Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints.
Job Requirements: · PHD in Civil or structural engineering from reputable university. · Structure degree, and a minimum of 30 years postgraduate experience in the structure design and management for all types of building facilities including large and complex projects. · Familiarity with design and analysis using various materials including but not limited to steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, post-tension concrete, and precast concrete. · Possesses advanced knowledge of various design and documentation software (sap2000, Etabs, safe, proton, etc.). . Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate with others to explore alternative solutions. · Overseeing and managing the design activities of the structure discipline. · Experience shall cover various types of buildings and developments. · Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, complex reports and to orally communicate technical information to others. · Fosters a continuous learning culture by encouraging communication and the sharing of ideas and technical knowledge through mentoring, in-house presentations, case studies, and continuing education opportunities. Constructively critiques individual and team efforts, towards continuous improvement. · Encourages uniformly high design and production standards and monitors projects to ensure that quality and production standards are met for all design and contract documents. · Professional registration required.
