General Accountant - Thales

Thales in Egypt is part of our Middle East business that has 1,800 people across Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and UAE.Together We delivered fare collection and control and communication systems for the first metro line in Africa, Metro Line 1 in Cairo. Since then we have continued to bring growth and security and safety to the country by upgrading these transportation systems as well as providing solutions for customers in air traffic management, air defence and Navy.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Ensure that Suppliers are managed to meet contractual obligations
Booking suppliers invoices and associated taxes
Booking employees expenses
Maintain monthly accurate accounting records and timely payments
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
Prepare invoices, associated taxes and follow up the collection process on due time matching with Treasury targets
Manage and maintain e-invoicing platform
GENERAL LEDGER AND REPORTING
Provide accurate, timely and appropriate accounting information to meet Corporate Reporting requirements
Maintain GL Reconciliations
Support audits
Support CFO in central cost control tasks
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports

CASH MANAGEMENT
Initiate online payments and cheques to suppliers
Manage petty cash and expenses to employees
Admin relation with banks and cash reconciliation

TAX
Provide ERP information to tax advisors
Support tax inspections

Required Experience & Skills
5 years experience in financial accounting inside industrial companies, preferable multinationals
Ethic Awareness, Confidentiality, Organizational skills (Data and Time reliability), Good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
Self -motivated and able to manage multiple assignments
Arabic native, English fluent and French if possible
Advance user in SAP
