Procurement Representative - RATP Dev 

JOB PURPOSE: 
Procurement Representative to execute local purchases from the market. In this position, you will play a key role in obtaining offers and buying high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for RDMC organization by following the procurement procedures and maintaining an updated list of current and incoming list of the approved suppliers, liaising with the different stakeholders for their needs, under the supervision of the Sr. Procurement Officer/s and Procurement Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 
•    Collect offers/quotations for the needed materials, products and services from the local market.
•    Go-to-market approach for qualifying new vendors, collecting and arranging the deliveries, documents, quotations, samples, invoices, etc.
•    Liaise with the internal stakeholders/internal departments to understand the needs and requirements.
•    Work under the supervision of the Sr. Procurement Officer/s, and/or the Procurement Manager to ensure a proper procurement process is in place.
•    Would be responsible for local purchases through petty cash, and would be responsible for the weekly reconciliation of the petty-cash with the Finance team.
•    Would be moving between these locations: RDMC HQ, El-Salam Workshop, Badr Workshop, the local market, all Line 3 stations, and all LRT stations.
•    Responsible for ensuring that approved purchases are of a sufficient quality and are cost-efficient.
•    Other duties and responsibilities might be assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Suitable degree level – Fully literate (Can read and write)
•    Basic understanding of English in terms of understanding the names and descriptions of the spare parts, consumables, etc.

KNOWLEDGE:
•    Basic Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
•    Good communication and negotiation skills.
•    Excellent knowledge of the industrial spare parts and supplies.
EXPERIENCE:
•    4-7 years of experience as a procurement representative in industrial environments.
