Project Manager - Heavy Rock

Job Description

1. Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve.
2. Determine and define scope of work and deliverables.
3. Predict resources needed to complete project.
4. Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.
5. Draft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
6. Manage costs in order to meet budget.
7. Manage construction schedule and activities.
8. Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines.
9. Ensuring that each stage of the project is done on time, on budget and compliance with project specifications.
10. Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver a project.
11. Drawing up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of a project.
12. Selecting and leading a project team.
13. Negotiating with contractors and suppliers.
14. Directing a multi-disciplinary team.
15. Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
16. Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way.
17. Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders.
18. Resolving any issues or delays
19. Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction.

Required Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
2. +20 years of experience in project management within construction (Contractor).
3. Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
6. Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
7. High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
8. Strong leadership and management skills.
