Cost Control Accountant - ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC

Job Purpose

 Construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts, Investigate variances and resolve issues
Update standard costs in the bill of materials to participate in tenders
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
Work with the materials review board to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory
Plan, Study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor, analyzing data collected and recording results
Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Analyze actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Conduct audits of costs analyze gaps between standard and actual costs; investigate inaccuracies and prepare variance reports
Develop estimates of new and proposed product costs
Develop monthly costs reporting including Breakeven points, margins and periodic variances, prices / profitability factors, etc. to facilitate follow up and decision making

Actively supporting relevant levels of management in implementing Corrective and Risk mitigation actions.     
 
Qualifications
 
Qualification & Education:

Education:  Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

Years of Experience: 1-4 years’ experience in the same field

Language: Arabic & English

Computer skills: MS office
