Accounting Specialist - Teradata

What we need from you:

  • You 5-7 years’ experience within a large multinational organization, preferably within a Shared Services Centre
  • Bachelor of Commerce or Partly Qualified Accountant (CA, CMA, ACCA) or MBA Finance
  • You have experience in dealing with Auditors & Month End Closures
  • You have solid familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Outlook
  • You are fluent in English
  • You are energetic, results oriented with a “can do” attitude

As a professional accountant, you will play a key role in providing support to Accounting Manager / Controller in provision of accounting services for Egypt and working with GL teams and other groups like Planning, legal, Tax, Human Resource, Facility teams. You will be directly involved in submission of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting packages, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely accounting information, follow up customer invoices and then subsequent collections. This will often involve close collaboration with other specialized departments.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Supporting Accounting Manager / Controller in US GAAP monthly closure for your assigned tasks like AP, AR, Tax, Employee advances etc. and submitted accurately and on time information.
  • Preparation of your assigned BS account reconciliations.
  • Identify and execute action items to resolve reconciliation variances.
  • Preparation of assigned tabs for Balance Sheet Pack for CFO Analytics.
  • Helping AM/C in managing relationship with outsourced service providers like Legal, Auditor, Tax consultant and outsources resource provider.
  • Also helping AM/C in support of local Admin tasks like Social Insurance management and office support.
  • Ensure the US GAAP monthly accounts are submitted accurately and on time, this involves working closely with our Outsourced Center of operations.
  • Complete the account reconciliations.
  • Identify and execute action items to resolve reconciliation variances.
  • Prepare Statutory Accounts and Manage Statutory Audit
  • Completing Flux analysis.  
  • Ensure all adjustments are submitted and processed in a timely manner.
  • Researching and resolving accounting issues for your assigned country.
  • Maintaining supporting documentation and sub-ledger information.
  • Complete ownership of legal entity matters, including statutory accounts, internal and external audit, tax compliance.
  • Ensure finance process work smoothly, such as payroll, purchasing, expense reports
  • Manage complex outsourced relationship, including Payroll provider, provider for statutory accounting, tax compliance.
  • Actively participate in corporate initiatives, including process improvement, new system implementation, acquisitions, through country specific and discipline specific knowledge.
