Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

● Implement Lafarge Safety Standards and Integrate safety into all maintenance operations and ensure working conditions and safety at work (Lafarge employees and contractors).
● Implement Maintenance plans, policies and procedures in the area in line with production strategy in order to ensure effective maintenance and engineering support of the production.
● Propose improvements for coal and cement grinding area under the direction of the department manager to ensure that the highest standards of maintenance and engineering services are achieved and maintained.
● Actively contribute to the overall production planning process through the provision of technical and process maintenance and engineering expertise to ensure that the production plant is optimally utilized.
● Utilize technical expertise to assess new technology and recommend its implementation as appropriate in order to support the achievement of continuous production operation at minimum maintenance cost.
● Provide professional advice and guidance to internal customers on maintenance and engineering issues in order to support the achievement of production objectives.
● Being a part of Preparing and managing the annual budgets and operating plans that accurately represent anticipated operation and development costs and so allows accurate business planning and cost management.
● Lead and promote technical development in plant, equipment and process maintenance in order to ensure continuous development and improvement of the maintenance operation.
● Identify, understand and control, as far as possible, factors affecting deviation from planned maintenance operations in order to support the achievement of effective optimal cost, proactive maintenance with minimal production downtime.
● Mange mechanical activities to achieve the targeted MTBF.
● Ensure controlling dust emissions to reduce plant pollution and align with environmental compliance.
● Identify, develop, and propose improvements for the department under the direction of the Department Manager, in order to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and engineering services are achieved and maintained.

Education:
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

Experience:
3-5 years in mechanical maintenance preferably in the cement industry
