Worley is hiring Project Cost Control

Location : Cairo – Egypt

Specific Accountabilities :

– Liaise with Worley Corporate to establish a project cost control and reporting methodology
– Develop, implement, and control the project accounting and job costing system to meet project requirements
– Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the data being processed
– Interface with management team to develop monthly PMC projects cost forecasts and costs reports
– Ensure contractual compliance for all relevant contracts to ensure Worley financial risk is minimized
– Preparation of project invoices in conjunction with the Accounts Department
– Preparation of monthly financial reports for the PMC projects. Also prepare other financial analysis as required on an adhoc basis
– Implement financial controls including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections
– Preparation of budgets in conjunction with PMC management team members
– Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between other team members (HR, Finance, Sales, Project Team, Facilities, and IT Departments)
– Promote the identification of potential areas of concern or improvement, to maximise cost effectiveness on projects and work practices.
– Provide guidance and support to Asset Cost Controllers and Project Cost Controllers in fulfilling their cost control responsibilities.
– Maintain a high level of communication / interface with other cost and project control team members
– Monitor cost control applications to ensure projects data integrity.
To provide support to operational and general management activities.
– To deal with governmental organizations in order to finalize types of operational requirements, i.e. submitting the company documents to GAFI if needed.

Essential Skills/Experience
– Bachelor Engineering Degree, any discipline.
– 5 to 8 years total post-graduation experience in relevant field.
– 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry and projects cost control.
– Proven computer literacy skills with experience in cost and project control computer applications, ERP / SAP Systems, EcoSys, highly skilled in MS Excel.
– Proven ability to communicate effectively in English with others; (verbally, in written communications and in presentations / meetings).
– Ability to effectively and efficiently plan / prioritise all areas of responsibility such as: Budgets; Time management; Resources – training and succession planning.
– Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of industry standard practices in cost control activities.
