Responsability :

• Management of the Telecoms/SCADA engineering package for Cairo Monorail Project setting personal objectives, training, development and succession planning of the engineering team.
• Manage and lead the Telecoms/SCADA Design, Installation, Testing and Commissioning teams in the delivery of all engineering related project works, taking responsibility for coordinated delivery of all aspects of the design, installation, testing and commissioning solutions.
• Monitor resourcing levels for Telecoms/SCADA engineering package
• Provide an effective mechanism for team management with clear communication lines, creating a sense of urgency to safely meet project deliverables and timescales .
• Manage telecoms/SCADA team delivery performance ensuring consistency of design output and compliance with defined company standards, power design principles, industry standards and Client’s project requirements.
• Liaise with Planner and other discipline leads to develop and maintain accurate delivery schedules and resource forecasts.
• Monitor, action and accountable for discrepancies where deviations to the Contract requirements from the proposed design.
• Manage Authority to Work and Mentorship requirements within the Telecoms/SCADA engineering team
• Motivate and develop staff, empowering team members to achieve their plans and growth targets and ensure the long-term sustainability of the team
• Role model and promote Health, Safety and Environment
• To comply with, undertake and promote all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures, responsibilities and activities.
• Completion of Performance Management Cycle for Telecoms/SCADA engineering team
• Provide Client and sub-contractor/suppliers feedback:
• Work package progress reports
• Ensure Timely delivery of work packages
• Reduce rework volumes for design, installation, and testing
  
  

Requirement :

• Fluent level of both written and verbal English
• Minimum of a degree level education in an Electronic/Telecoms Engineering discipline with minimum 5 years of related working experience as a leader
• Technical report writing
• Detailed design production and processes
• Telecoms/SCADA design, installation, testing and commissioning within the railway environment
• Knowledge of International Rail Standards and practices
• Working understanding/knowledge of Operation Comms on Cairo Metro
• Telecoms/SCADA engineering experience in project delivery
• Extensive knowledge of engineering interface with other disciplines, i.e. Power, Civil Engineering, , Signaling and third-party telecommunications/SCADA
