Electromechanical Systems Engineer - Valeo

Mission

PTS (PowerTrain Systems) is Valeo powertrain business group working on providing smart solutions for hybrid and electric

vehicles

PTS Cairo (in VIAS) is mainly focusing on providing full software solution (architecture, design, development and testing)

according to different automotive / Valeo standards (GSMART, A-SPICE, ISO26262, MISRA guidelines) and now expanding

in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

Electromechanical Systems Engineer

• Analyze and elicitate Automotive stakeholders requirements and write systems specification (SyRS) for PTS
• products.
• Design logical and physical architecture and allocate to different metiers for PTS products (SyAD).
• Perform physical simulation models to evaluate the system specifications (executable specifications) when needed.
• Work with different project stakeholders (functional safety, software requirements engineers, software architects,
• application/control engineer and QA engineers).
• Contribute in the development / maintenance of system release plan and system development plan.
• Apply Automotive & Valeo standards (ASPICE, Valeo GSMART, PTS process).
• Prepare for GEEDS/RAISE System technical reviews and provide system packages + TR checklists as planned.
• Represent the project in ASPICE assessments for SYS.2 and SYS.3.
• Contribute in the development and maintenance of PTS system process.

Education/Training

Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or Aerospace & Aeronautical Engineering.

Professional Experience

+3 Years of experience in system engineering

Languages

Excellent command of English language is a must.

Requirements

• Good knowledge in electric machines (motors & valves) and their control theories.
• Knowledge in SysML/UML using Enterprise Architect or similar tool is appreciated.
• Knowledge in MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow & physical modeling toolboxes (Ex: Simscape).
• Knowledge in IBM DOORS & AutoRTM is highly appreciated.
• Knowledge in ISO26262 functional safety is a plus
• Awareness of AURIX and ARM based microcontrollers is a plus.
