Purchasing Specialist
Main Responsibilities:
- Receiving the purchase requisition and issuing the supply order and sending it to the pharmaceutical companies to complete the supply process.
- Negotiating with suppliers on quotations to reach the lowest price and the highest payment period.
- Follow up the supply order with companies to send medicines during the specified supply period.
- Coordination with the warehouse management and the pharmacy administration on the dates of supply to prepare places to receive medicines.
- Preparing reports on the supply orders that have been issued to follow up the supply process to the drug stores at the specified times.
- Making a record for the suppliers to verify the legality of the supplier and matching the invoices submitted for the safety of disbursing the financial dues to the supplier.
- Coordination with the financial department to complete the payment operations as mentioned in the supply order and the contracts concluded for the continuation of the supply process.
- Communicating with the warehouse management to work on replacing or retrieving the items whose expiry date is close to expiry with the pharmaceutical companies.
- Make a monthly report for all the supply orders that have been received to the stores to follow up on the purchase and storage plan that has been specified by the administration.
- Communicate with the warehouse management to work on replacing or retrieving medications that are close to their expiry dates with pharmaceutical companies.
General Qualifications and Work
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred in a pharmacy.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the same position.
-Very good command of the English language.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Time management skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
