Financial Analyst - Medtronic

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Work closely with EA Finance Head and EA Commercial Leaders and the team members in developing financial plans and forecasts. Provide analysis on business development and monitor business performance.
• Complete monthly financial reporting, analyze results, identify issues, and explain trends and variances to plan and forecast; provide insights to partners and other stakeholders. Work with business on forecasting and strategic planning to support the achievement of Quarter and Annual Operating Plan.
• Coordinate and manage the Annual Operating Plan and Rolling Forecast process related to the business supported, meeting all deadlines issued by Corporate.
• Closely monitor revenue and margin performance of the Country/operating unit, understand the drivers behind the number and identify actionable insights and bring them into actions.
• Perform variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements.
• Act as trusted advisor to the business and provide financial insight and guidance to key commercial decisions.
• Review and apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and record transactions to safeguard the company assets.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of forecast revisions.
• Ensure integrity of financial databases, including reconciliations between different reporting systems.
• Complete and review month end close activities.
• Support various finance initiatives through ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and project management efforts to influence decision making and drive business results.

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting focus
• 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• Proactive approach is required, ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with high quality and high level of accountability.
• Can work in a fast-paced environment, copes with deadlines and manages simultaneously several tasks and maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Advanced Excel required (macros, pivot tables).
• Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize systems/data to produce insightful analysis and drive prudent recommendations.

NICE TO HAVE

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Working knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase.
