This position

The Senior Software Engineer will be the go to technical advisor for the team, supporting the team investigating complex issues, bugs and code-reds, taking the technical lead of the complex components, which requires deep investigation or new technologies, interfacing with external teams aligning the solution and architecture, assuring the engineering best practices like (scalability, performance, multitenancy and availability).

Responsibilities

• Team technical support
• Help the team members to overcome technical challenges, mentoring them with the best practices
• Participate on the code review or important components, making sure it’s being done the right way
• Define the coding standards required to be added manually, or review sonarQube and make sure it includes the language rules needed to the team components. To guarantee best code quality
• Creates shareable components, shared among multiple teams, Independently able to drive scalable solutions
• Solutions & Architecture
• Taking the technical lead for complex components solutions design and architecture definition matched with the existing components
• Interface with external stakeholders, representing the team, with good presentation skills and communication
• Defining the dependencies required for development in order to start without any blockers
• Participate on the requirements assessment and extract the work entities and WBS (Work breakdown structure)
• Review non-functional requirements, Recommend the best practices for maintenance, scalability, multitenancy, availability, performance and other non-functional requirements
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Independently performs RCA in both standard and non-standard areas
• Can assist others RCA

Basic Qualifications

• Delivery & Process

○ BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience

○ Experience as a Technical Architect, Technical Lead or a similar Java role

○ Strong understanding and experience in agile methodologies

○ Fluency in English

○ Test and automation background

○ Java (11)

○ Docker (Compose, Swarm), Kubernetes is a plus.

○ SQL (Postgres)

○ Solr (Lucene Index)

○ Broker (Kafka, ActiveMQ)

○ Spring Framework

○ Jetty, Guice, Jersey

• Experience with integration patterns, technologies and frameworks.
• Experience with BPM frameworks.
