Description

Location: Cairo

Purpose

Provide leadership guidance and oversight of the financial planning processes for the commercial unit. Responsible for the operational budgets, outlook, capital budgets and 5YR planning processes. Provides all finance support for the business decisions in the commercial unit. Provide direction and ensure that all local laws and regulations are followed. Oversee the accumulation and review of consolidated monthly outlooks, annual profit objective and other financial updates within the CU. The position also assures the review of actual financial results and the preparation of financial analysis is meaningful and complete. The position ensures employees are achieving performance expectations, and promotes professional/analytical growth of staff. Prepare presentations and support special projects for senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Member of the CU Leadership Team. Provide financial leadership for all strategic and business decisions for the company and aligned with Corporate Finance. Provide financial analysis and scenario planning for all major company decisions (price analysis and risk management.) Assistance with any special project work on an as needed basis.
  • Responsible for the financial planning, budgeting, outlooks and 5YP for the revenue cycle and Fixed costs in accordance with local country corporate guidance’s. Supports Pricing Analysis, DIBM process and credit collection as needed. Responsible for collaborating with Finance function to develop cost of goods sold plans for the market. Managing the cash and treasury functions, performing a tax compliance and planning function for local statutory and U.S. taxes
  • Train and develop the skills of the Finance staff and provide opportunities for skills development to ensure high quality support to the business unit management team. .
  • Responsible for developing fixed cost plans for the CU including headcount, promotional costs and travel/entertainment. Monitor expenses and explain fluctuation between Budgets x Outlooks x Actuals and report these fluctuations to Regional Management
  • Work with the country corporate on the measurement of key business metrics for the market. Responsible for financial reporting of key market indicators (revenue, fixed costs, profit and Cash Flow).
  • Responsible for the internal control environment for the countries and lead compliance activities within the company

  • Local Controllership, Tax & Credit Finance Competency Leads: All other Accounting, Reporting, credit, tax and / or all other miscellaneous financial matters

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Four year university/college degree in accounting or finance and CA/CPA or equivalent local degree or MBA (Finance)
  • Minimum 6 years experience in increasing levels of financial responsibility
  • Experience in multi-national firm preferred
  • Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum 10% of travel expected
  • Fluent English
  • Need to possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have the ability to understand business processes, systems and objectives to apply in financial analysis
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills are needed to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Prior supervisory and/or people management experience
  • Substantial competency to solve critical problems requiring theoretical knowledge and innovative application to an array of financial, business and management problems or issues
  • Skills in leading operational and strategic initiatives. Leverages influencing skills and collaborations to align and develop individuals across all functions in enhancing overall business acumen, processes and strategy.
