Job Description

Assistant Finance Manager – Unilever Food Solutions Egypt

Key Accountabilities

Member of UFS Egypt Leadership Team

Strategic planning

▪ Partner to Egypt Country Head to co-create strategic plans for the business

▪ Drive medium to long term performance of the business through delivering high quality insights to support decision making (inclusive of Annual Plan, Target Framework, …etc.)

▪ Identify value opportunities that require a particular intervention / project support from Finance Business Partner

Performance Management

▪ Prepares and facilitates country financial deep dives (inclusive of commentary & recommendations) ▪ Contribute to ongoing efficiency opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives

▪ Drive gross margin levers across category – pricing, mix, cost initiatives (5S), …etc.

▪ Perform optimization analysis on the P&L and drive them with the country head

▪ Responsible for product pricing inline with SPI/benchmarking

▪ Provide input data & sign off business cases with central category teams (Innovations, renovations, business scenarios…etc)

▪ Driving accountability within the teams and the right service level support from Finance (extend support and partnering to all sales leads & account managers)

S&OP

▪ Update & complete the full S&OP Financial forecast/cash-up

▪ Provide commentary for results vs forecast ▪ Identify major risks and opportunities and lead the ‘bridging the gap’ exercise

Budgeting & Controls

▪ Complete all MEC activities (Shipment Tracking, Gross Up, TTS accruals,…etc)

▪ Controlling of Trade Spent and Marketing Investment by advising on optimum promotional spent/mix.

▪ Ensure the control framework is in place and working, reviewed quarterly with BU controllers

▪ Providing ad-hoc support and financial analysis to the teams.

▪ Responsible for the collection & Overdues for all UFS customers

▪ Responsible for the reconciliation of customer accounts SoA

Skills & Experience

▪ End to end P&L management, ability to understand the big picture but also comfortable with details

▪ Stakeholder management

▪ Strong financial and business acumen

▪ Takes direct ownership of objectives with high levels of self-assurance to achieve goals

▪ Bringing powerful analysis to issues and rapidly absorbing new information and knowledge to apply new techniques, technology, and procedure
