Siemens EDA is seeking highly motivated, responsible and self-starting Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will be:

Responsible for Embedded software development for Host Bus adaptor systems.

Working with drivers and OS (Linux and Windows).

Development and debugging of software drivers (Linux and Windows).

Running and debugging the full system composed of embedded software and hardware parts on Questa and Veloce platforms.

Internal communication with hardware groups and system groups.

Communicate with customers and supporting them.

Knowledge and experience needed:

We're looking for a candidate with:

B.Sc. in Electronic or Computer Engineering with a minimum cumulative grade "Very Good".

Should be exempted from Army – and has no commitments to work in a University.

Strong programming knowledge using C/C++.

Solid knowledge in Embedded Software development.

Software design process and development life cycle knowledge is a huge plus!

Solid understanding of Android development.

Knowledge in RISC-V processor, FPGA design flow, System Verilog and verification methodologies (OVM / UVM / VMM) is preferred.

Serial protocol standards (PCIe, SAS, UFS, USB and NVMe) knowledge is a plus.

Preferred to have a good knowledge in scripting (Perl / Shell).

Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.
