Accountan

Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for an accountant in Cairo, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Accountant you will be responsible to perform the accounting process up to the trial balance , monthly internal reporting & Analysis . You will also support in audit preparations & fieldwork inquiries . You will also be responsible to provide the Asset Management Dep. with relevant & up to date management information and reply to ad hoc queries.

Main responsibilities

Capture day-to-day transactions for SSO & SPVs on accounting software system

Support the accounting activities and the month-end close, ensuring the appropriate application of accounting standards and company policies, and timely review and posting of journal entries and reconciliations

Assist in loan compliance responsibilities.

Maintain fixed assets register & supplier reconciliations

Control Cash Custody and Expense claims settlement and Coordinate payments and payment process

Support year-end audited financial statements preparation for the Projects assigned

Preparation of well-supported account reconciliations to ensure integrity of account balances

Report exceptions on processes to Chief Accountant and Financial Controller

Prepare VAT return and WHT return & Ensure all taxes are paid and submitted timeously

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant experience in a multinational Matrix organisation

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

Good understating and use of IFRS/Egyptian GAAP including experience in complex accounting issues & application of accounting principles

Proven capabilities supporting accounting activities with multiple ERPs

Fluent in English - spoken and written

You are used to changing environments and to quickly meet new challenges
