Broadband & Service Core Operations Engineer

Job Description

1- Troubleshoot different type of MPLS-VRF L3/L2 instances in conjunction with dealing in different MP-BGP/VPNv4 routing context and provision appropriate service differentiators (QoS) on various circuits for optimal end to end service delivery.

2- Troubleshoot different type of DSL subscriber sessions termination/aggregation in term of PPPoX protocol stack together with the subscriber management functions in term of AAA, Policy management and dynamic QoS to provide a superb broadband service delivery.

3- Conduct channels with different vendors for technical support issues, follow up on the pending customer service requests.

4- Ensure a comprehensive updated databases and documentations for network layout topology, network configurations, Network Inventory, software releases, and backups to be ready for use as part of problem resolutions.

5- Participating in the day to day maintenances & upgrade operations for the network expansion, migration or retiring plan.

6- Participating in Evaluating /Testing Initial prototypes systems for new services, and ensure its adequacy in the operational environment.

7- Operating various Linux/Unix Systems OSs (RedHat, CentOS, Fedora, Open Suse, Upuntu).

8- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SMTP Platform and applying the suitable tuning rules/ policies.

9- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to DNS Platform, managing Domains/Zones and performing the required updates and checklist for optimal performance in conjunction with error resolution service and malware prevention.

10- Troubleshooting and operating various security policies and procedures on different platform (CISCO PIX/ASA, Cisco ACL, Linux iptables).

11- Troubleshooting and operating various Virtualization Technology like VMware ESXi.

12- Provisioning and managing all users account settings regarding the Core Platform structure using TACACS/RADIUS platform.

13-Providing support and implementation for various services and monitoring/performance tools, not limited to, CACTI, MRTG, and SYSLOG.

14-Developing scripts/queries for analyzing and reporting for fixed broadband informational attributes from the AAA servers and automating system routine tasks using, but not limited to, Perl, bash, SQL.

15-Controlling the operation of the aggregated Wi-Fi traffic throughout a centralized controlling mechanism of the Wi-Fi cloud in terms of Indoor/outdoor access points with a provided seamless user experience.

16-Creating and provisioning different Wi-Fi subscriber session service profiles (Portal-EAP/SIM-Non-EAP/SIM) and identifying the service characteristics and capabilities in terms of Control Policy , Walled garden Policy , Web Portal authentication policy.

17-Participate in 24*7 on-call/Shift rotation

Qualifications Essential

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Communication

3-4 Years Experiences

Certifications or equivalent experience and training in data networking disciplines( CCNP Routing & Switching / Service Provider/JNCIS/

Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities

Qualifications Desirable

Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix/ Linux / Microsoft.

Certifications or equivalent experience and training in cloud and network security disciplines

Excellent in English (Reading, Writing & Oral).

Experience Essential

+3 Years In Telecom ISP experience

Risk Management techniques

Change management process work flow

Experience Desirable

 Filed maintenance experiences as entry level.

Power engineering experience as entry level.

Microwave & RF operational experience
