Role purpose:

- Develop and manage technically Android Team The role requires hands-on software development skills, deep technical expertise across the entire software delivery process, from content generation to delivery. The tech lead will closely work with Android open source on new product and feature launches.

- Develop mobile requirements & Accountable on below points:

o Work closely with the product, design, third-party providers, vendors and the services teams to convert ideas to reality while managing all aspects of the software development lifecycle

o Provide architectural guidance and direction to solve complex problems with simple solutions

o Provide operational oversight to the developers on the team

o Understand and share the big picture with the developers on the team

o Create technical documentation and keep it current

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

o Work with Internal and External Stakeholders to understand the use case, scenario and identify the best solution

o Work with multi-disciplinary team in an agile and fast-paced development environment to define, create, and maintain the software product

o Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in working collaboratively with offshore team members

o Unit testing experience using JUnit.

o Experience of working in development teams using Continuous Integration: Jenkins/Hudson.

o Has shipped multiple Android applications and demonstrate this where possible.

o Knowledge of application deployment and Code-signing

o Design, Develop and manage Native Hybrid applications which support web and mobile devices

o Integrate other applications web service APIs into User interface of the mobile application

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

o 12+ years' mobile development experience using android

o Very strong in object-oriented concepts & design patterns

o Practical Android coding and debugging experience.

o Solid experience of common Java and Android design patterns - Loaders, List view recyclers, Observers etc.

o Experience in working with Android compatibility APIs, Android Fragments.

o Sound experience of Android User Interface API, spanning multiple device configurations.

o Good experience of networking with Async tasks and HttpConnection and loaders.

o Experience of working with Web Services and common data interchange formats: JSON, XML.

o Local data storage using SQLite databases and shared preferences.

o Knowledge of Lollipop - key frameworks, tools, technologies end-user and developer enhancements will be added advantage

o Sound working knowledge of application profiling and instrumentation with debugger and gauges.

o Strong Communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative- multi-country/time zone environment

o Good organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks

o Proactive personality with a proven track record of following through, exhibiting ownership- and delivering on responsibilities

o Highly adaptive and capable of being an individual contributor and working as part of an extended team.

o Fully comfortable working in English, both in writing and spoken
